in 2018…

Let me start off by saying that this is not what I had planned! Through a series of trials and errors, I now know that I am doing what God wants me to do. God put me on a path to become an educator. I served as a middle school teacher of English / reading / language arts and as a school administrator for 23 years. God slowly moved me away from that and now, I find myself here….with StormRiders.

Our son graduated high school and began his college career at Clemson in 2018. Clemson is where he had always wanted to go, and from where my wife and I had both earned our Masters degrees.

That summer in 2018, my wife and I joined a few of the social media groups for Clemson parents. The information there was mostly helpful and comforting, and sometimes amusing. In the fall, shortly after school had started, we noticed that one out-of-state parent needed help getting her son from Clemson to the airport in Greenville. Since I live here in Greenville, I publicly introduced myself and offered to help, if needed. That ONE post started it all.
